Training
The heart of Jackie’s program begins with a great love and respect for the horses. By creating solid dressage basics, each horse becomes able to perform with the upmost precision and willingness. Jackie also recognizes the need for variety to keep each horse intrigued and happy in their training. She uses a combination of trail riding, lunging, cavaletti work, and jumping to accent training rides in the dressage arena. Jackie believes a gymnastic dressage athlete, combined with a well rounded confident mind, allows a horse’s true expression and full potential to come through. Jackie offers both full and partial training.
lessons
Jackie’s greatest pleasure is watching a horse and rider team develop a genuine bond through trust and understanding. Jackie’s approach to lessons is systematic to insure growth, yet flexible, keeping in mind each rider’s learning style and the capabilities of their horse. Trailer in lessons are available.
young horses & starting
One of Jackie’s favorite aspects of training is starting young horses under saddle. Starting a young horse’s training from the beginning allows Jackie to instill a great sense of trust and willingness to learn dressage from early on. Jackie’s young horse program is tailored to each horse and the pace is determined by the horse’s ability and confidence every step of the way. Young horses are taught the basic principles of dressage from the get go to assure a correct, solid foundation.
